Do you ever have a birthday party for Jesus?

Our family pastor has a birthday party for Jesus on the night of Christmas. Ice cream, cake, party hats, paper. Sing happy birthday, and her youngest son (who is big enough to fly without spitting) blows out the candles. Recalls children the reason for the season. Always wanted to do that at home, never did enough. And you?

We do not have a party, but every year I can remember my family always made a cake together and decorated it with the words "Happy Birthday Jesus." A birthday party all sounds like an awesome way to make the birthday of Jesus the center of Christmas. Maybe I'll try this year. My kids would love it. Thanks for the idea!
