Dog Training Atlanta

dog training atlanta
I have recently inherited 2 very cute dogs. But I can’t find a home for them.?

My mother in law recently passed away and left her dogs with us. We already have 2 dogs and 4 kids. It’s just more than I can handle.
I’ve put ads in the papers and called several animal rescue services (they all say that they are Full). The dogs are great! Monkey is male Chihuahua100%, he’s about a year old.
Mary Jane is 50 % Chihuahua and 50% Daschund, about 18 months old. Both are great with kids and house trained.
Any ideas on how we can find them good homes would be appreciated. We are in the Atlanta Area if anyone is interested in either dog.

Alot of full bred dogs have rescue shelters that are set up to provide homes and rescues for a particular type of dog (many times they will take dogs with a breeds characteristics/looks). You may also want search Petfinder for leads on shelters. Since the dogs are not in the “puppy stage” (and came from a mature owner), there might be a a rescue which is designed to place these dogs in a home environment to which they were accustomed (after Katrina blew threw, we had several of these types in town -doing a great job) Even if the shelter were some driving distance, I am sure your ease of mind and their welfare would be first on your mind. Hope this helps somewhat.

Best of Luck

Tips for my dog’s Kennel Training?

My dog is getting a new kennel, and was just after some tips to keep her happy and comfortable in the kennel. Breed: Deerhound
The kennel is large with a run joined together.
Very compassionate dog and loves attention!

You should get her toys that keep dogs busy, like a Kong. That way not only does she have something to play with, but she also will have something to play with that keeps her busy for a while, and she won’t get bored with easily.

Good luck!
