My Bull Mastiff x Sharpei puppy will not listen to me when I try to discipline. What am I doing wrong ????????
I have a baby 7 months sharpei x Bull Mastiff puppy that just will not listen to me when I try to discipline! He replies that he feels, and responds in a way to come, but not listen when I say stay, still jumping, yelling at stupid things, and chew every damn thing in sight !!!!!!!! I live in a rental property, and I near the end of my tether! I can not stand this for long. He listens to my girlfriend, but not me! What am I doing wrong !?!??!?!?!?!
Dogs often hear a member of the household better than others. Your dog has decided that her boyfriend is respectable for a reason. Do You cry? Repeat? Speak softly to the puppy? There are many reasons that might be going on. I recommend working with a coach who can recognize what you are doing and tell you how correct their behavior. It is usually a problem with the human being to communicate with the dog instead of the dog untrainable, etc. Most of all you should complain be covered in a basic obedience course. HTH
