question about my wiener dog / boston terrier?

my mother's friend told us that Dachshunds get gum disease or infection with ease. said that his dog got so bad that he started havin seizures cause the infection started going to his brain. I do not know if that's true or not, but I was wondering if dachshund get gum disease or infection much easier than other races. thanks for the help.

What is a good Dry Dog Food for mini dachshunds?

We have been preparing our own dog food (chicken, beef, veggies, rice) for the past 2 years. Recently we were told that they probably are not getting the vitamins & nutrients that they need. Because of that (and the fact that it’s become a real bore fixing their food) we’re switching them to dry food. Two dogs- a smoothie and a long hair. The long hair is SO picky about everything he eats, and we’re struggling – big time. What is a good, nutritional dry dog food? We figure if we introduce it to him and stick with it, he’ll HAVE to eat sooner or later…

I am an absolute fan of Fromm Four Star Nutritionals. My dog eats the Salmon a la veg flavor but there are many to choose from. The food provides a well balanced diet, the kibbles are small, and the brand has never been recalled!! I wouldn’t feed my little boy anything else!
