7 children Homemade Halloween Costume Ideas

When it comes to Halloween costumes ever decided to do ours, because we felt it was silly spend $ 35 and up, for a suit that our son will be used only once. Over the years, my sister-in-law and I have made many costumes for our children and I thought I would share with you some simple ideas.

If you are concerned about security, I recommend the purchase of some patches of reflective material in local fabric and craft store and sew or glue them in the costume of your child. This security measure helps motorists to see at night because they are across the street. I always recommend that a responsible adult to accompany children trick or treat night.

Here are the Halloween costumes ideas for us occurred over the years.

Lady Bug – You will need: Red leotard, red stockings, 4 sheets of black felt and fabric glue. Cut some circles and ovals of felt and glue onto the red body to look like ladybug spots. To make the antenna, buy a black headband, 2 Round 3 "diameter Styrofoam balls, 2 pencils, acrylic paint black and gorilla glue. Paintballs and pencils black polystyrene foam and let dry. pencils glue in the center of the Styrofoam balls, let dry and then glue pencils to the top of the headband.

Note: You may use the same concept over and make a bumblebee and replace clothing red with yellow garments and make bee striped black felt style.

Employee Construction – You will need: jeans, white shirt, flannel shirt and a yellow hard plastic cap found in a toy store on sale. You can borrow a tool belt or the man buys a canvas apron style pockets in a local craft store for a few dollars. If desired, visit your local discount store dollar and buy a plastic tool set to stick on pockets tool belt.

Golfer – You need: khaki pants colored polo shirt and a plaid cap golfers. You can buy golf clubs and balls of plastic in your local discount store in dollars. We made our own golf bag to empty out a whole tube of cardboard and paint with acrylic paints. Make a hole in each side of the tube and attach wires for a carrying strap. You can fit 3-4 plastic golf clubs on the owner and his son carry on his shoulders.

Nurse – You will need: white skirt shirt, socks and shoes your child will most likely already have in your closet. To add to that, the purchase of a child nurses cap size in a costume shop with a kit plastic in your local discount store dollar. Also accentuated the white shirt with a nametag and a red felt cross first aid said that the hand safety and pinned to the shirt.

Mummy – You will need: linen, white masks, white sneakers, white rolls of first aid bandages and numerous safety pins. Crayon – You will need: your choice of linen colors, select orange to match the Halloween theme, along with several sheets of black felt, fabric glue and a black fabric paint. Take a colored pencils for your child and use it as an example of how design should cut their black felt. Place designs on clothing so that looks like a colored pencil. You can use black fabric paint to paint the name of those responsible for crayons in the front of the shirt. To fit with our theme, we have a sewing machine triangular hat matching orange felt, so that 'our' little pencil had a tip up crayon.
