Do dogs need jackets in the winter?
I have a lab/collie/shepherd mix with very thick fur. It gets pretty cold here and was wondering if she needed a jacket! Yesterday it was around 0C (32F) and we were in the dog park off leash and she swam around in the water there for a long time.. didn’t seem cold at all. I had read somewhere that if it is cold for you, its cold for your dog and it needs a coat.

No, he doesn’t need a jacket. But if it is that cold, I wouldn’t be letting him swim.
Where are you that is it 0C already?!?!?? I’m in Canada, but it ain’t that cold yet!

I’m in Ontario, it’s a balmy 12C today.
Like I said, I don’t think he needs a coat, especially if he is outside being active. But if he gets wet, he could get frostbite.
