introducing a new dog territorial behavior
Appropriate way to introduce new foster dog?

I have been asked to promote a mix of 1 year old male dog until a home can be perminant find him. I would be happy to help the little guy, but I'm a little nervous to introduce my other two dogs. I have two pit bull dogs (siblings) of one male and one female, both are rescues. They are well socialized, and interact incredibly well with people and other dogs. I worry that this new dog in particular will to share their home, while all interactions occurred outside of my house. I worry about the two that I can now show territorial behavior. How should encourage the introduction of this new? What should I expect? Pit Bulls were originally bred as bull baiters … not fighting dogs. The pit of fighting followed. I assure that these dogs are well behaved and constant training. There is a hierarchy in my house with myself as the "pack leader"

Depending where are you going to promote this, this could be taken several forms. First, be sure to meet your foster dog dogs on neutral ground. This is the territory none of the dogs have say. If you can not do this, have come together in the first courtyard, on a leash at all. By the dog at home, can quarantine for a while, just in case there are medical issues, such as parasites, or kennel cough. Or issues of aggression. Make sure you do not give the new dog all the attention, and also feed the last time, so your dog does not think you are messing with the load order. If there is no sign of any aggression, contact monitoring would be good, so get used to being close to each other. You still must separate when they are at home. (When you are gone, one of his dogs will move to become head of the pack.) Depending on how long has the dog, pack or order the order themselves. This usually happens without any physical contact. Your dogs Pitts being really has nothing to do with the situation, unless one of them is an aggressive leader of the pack. Only find this by trying. Pitt funniest thing I know is totally ruled by a dog of 10 pounds. Good luck with your effort and thanks for promoting!
