We have been experiencing thunderstorms throughout day and night, and my 70 pound yellow lab is terrified of them. I went to the vet a while ago and was prescribed 2 mg of Valium for storms. This morning There was a terrible storm, and I gave him 1 mg of alprazolam in approx. 6:00 this morning. The next storm came through at 5:30 in the afternoon, so I gave him another 1 mg at the time. Then at 12:15 this morning the storms start again, and gave him a mg. I know that its outer limit is 3.5 mg. I only gave a total of 3 mg in a period of 24 hours. I gave an approx mg every 6-8 hours (for a total of 3 mg). I wonder if your dose of early morning (6:00) has disappeared, however, when he dose di midnight?
