What is the best winter coat and apparel to wear in Alaska?

We are relocating to Alaska from the south so we’re unaware of the best warm clothing.

I suggest getting a few sets of lightweight thermals (underwear, tops, jumpers etc) so that you can layer your clothing…and then find out more from the locals once you have relocated.

I need to know what kind of clothes and shoes are appropriate for a dressy office. I am changing jobs?

I am a heavier woman. My current job is more a jeans and tshirt kind of business. I want to look appropriate and be comfortable at the same time. Are panty hose always required? I like to wear slide shoes are these allowed.. Oh good grief I am so worried…

try skirts and dressy shirts…you ladys look great in that.
